About Texas New Music Ensemble:

 

Texas New Music Ensemble was established in 2013. Since 2023, the Texas New Music Festival has been held annually in Houston. The festival brings composers, conductors, performers, and scholars from all over the world to Houston for 8 days of concerts, workshops, guest lectures, and a general celebration of new music. As Ensemble in Residence, Texas New Music Ensemble present two concerts with the TNMF each year. Each concert presents 12 World Premieres written specifically for TNME, led by Principal Conductor, Felipe Tristan.

TNME also presents an annual international concert series entitled Conciertos Puentes. 

About Conciertos Puentes:

Conciertos Puentes: tendiendo lazos sonoros is a project organized by the Texas New Music Ensemble. Our goal is to present multiple concert works by living composers based in Mexico and Texas, with the purpose of strengthening cultural and artistic ties between both communities, as well as creating cultural bridges and professional connections that benefit artists on both sides of the border. Also present is a strong emphasis on the Latino-American experience in Houston. All concerts are presented annually in Houston and Mexico City.
